About this entry

Draw maps in a town that doesn't want to be mapped. The editors’ note placed it here on the basis of three criteria: durability across re-reads (or re-watches, or re-plays), influence on the entries that came after it, and the degree to which it could only have been made by the person — or team — who made it.

In the comparative table maintained by the Games desk, The Cartographer sits within a band of 17 that contains some of the most contested swaps of the year. Editors vote with arguments; a swap requires three editors and one written defense.

From Wikipedia

The Cartographer is the second extended play by the Long Island indie rock band The Republic of Wolves. It was self-released digitally by the band on January 1, 2011. The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by guitarist/vocalist Gregg Andrew DellaRocca at his home studio and produced by the band members themselves. The EP is notable as it is the first release from the band where DellaRocca handles a majority of the lead vocals. The album was released on vinyl by Simple Stereo on May 6, 2011.
